Additive Service Bureau Implements Automated Post-Printing Catered to Carbon
BUFFALO, NY, USA – August 18, 2021 – Leading California 3D printing service, Dinsmore Inc. has announced the selection of a PostProcess automated resin removal solution. With a diverse team of engineers from various disciplines, Dinsmore specializes in Design for Prototyping, Design for Additive Manufacturing, and general 3D Printing. As frequent users of Carbon L1 and M2 Digital Light Synthesis™ (DLS™) printers for production, Dinsmore has recently implemented the software intelligent PostProcess® DEMI 910™ for automated resin removal.
As Dinsmore took on projects of increasing print volumes, it became clear that traditional resin removal methods could not keep pace with the levels of productivity and value that the company is renowned for. To reduce unnecessary steps in their additive workflow and keep lead times at a minimum, Dinsmore employed PostProcess’s full-stack automated post-printing solution developed specifically for the Carbon ecosystem, the DEMI 910.
Driven by the world’s first post-print software platform, AUTOMAT3D®, the DEMI 910 employs patented Submersed Vortex Cavitation (SVC) technology to effectively remove excess resin from parts via submersion in PostProcess’s proprietary detergents. With a specialized fixture design, the DEMI 910 is capable of automated resin removal for an entire build platform from a Carbon large-format L1 printer or two build platforms from a Carbon high-resolution M2 printer. By eliminating the need to remove parts from the build tray, this tailored design expedites processing times and improves productivity for Dinsmore engineers. By finishing more L1 and M2-printed parts in less time with the DEMI 910, Dinsmore has been able to achieve its scalability goals, and effectively streamline production-volume printing processes while lowering production costs.
Jay Dinsmore, CEO at Dinsmore, said, “Our goal is always to deliver the best possible version of a product, at any and all production volumes. The DEMI 910 has truly proven revolutionary in enhancing efficiencies and keeping part production within budget. This technology is integral for Dinsmore’s growth and scalability as we take on more jobs with higher print volumes.”
Nate Harris, Vice President of Sales, North America, PostProcess Technologies, said, “Dinsmore is a true industry leader in several facets of additive manufacturing, and we are pleased to bring next-generation digitization and scalability to their Carbon workflows. We look forward to witnessing the upcoming projects that this newfound productivity will enable Dinsmore to work on.”
About Dinsmore:
Here at Dinsmore we have engineers from all disciplines — industrial, electrical and mechanical — and designers on both the artistic and industrial sides, who have made this their specialty. We can create the product you envision, or offer guidance on what you’ve already developed — from conception to launch. Dinsmore has been doing this since 2002. We’re passionate about our clients and dedicated to their success. When every moment (and dollar) counts, we’re here to be an extension of your team, bringing our expertise to your table. Our case studies section offers many examples of our work, but truly no two projects are the same, and we’d love the opportunity to speak with you about yours. Learn more at www.dinsmoreinc.com.
